Frank Dalton was born Geme Stevens in Arkansas . In 1966 he made the acquaintenance of Don Kalt who at the time was wrestling under the name Jack Dalton as part of the Dirty Daltons tag team. When his partner Jim Dalton (James Baggis) left to go on his own, Jack trained Gene renamed him Frank Dalton and the Dirty Daltons rode again.
The Daltons were long time holders of the United States tag team title in the Louisiana end of the Gulf Coast territory. They also held the Gulf Coast tag team title and Frank held the Louisiana title as a solo. Kalt moved onto Indianapolis in 1969 and teamed with Kenny Mack (who had been the Daltons manager) and became known as the Chain Gang.

Frank stayed in the Gulf Coast area mainly as a mid-card heel until another pair of Daltons arrived. This set of Daltons was Jim (Baggis) and a new Jack (Randy Colley). They claimed that Frank was not a true Dalton and the feud was on. As a heel Frank could not get anyone to team with him until Ken Lucas and Bob Kelly offered to help him.

This brought the fans to his side and Frank found himself the object of the fans' adoration. He and Kelly teamed frequently and held the Mississippi State tag team titles and the city tag team titles in Laurel , Meridian , Gulfport and Hattiesburg in Mississippi . Frank also worked for a period of time for Bill Golden's Tri-State promotion based in Montgomery . There he held the Alabama State title. Frank eventually moved to Houston , Texas and settled. His last fulltime gig in the wrestling business was as the masked handler "Friday" for Kimala the Ugandan Giant for Fritz Von Erich's World Class promotion based in Dallas .
